SAY WHAT
Central Idea: People use communication and systems to help express themselves in different ways.
In this unit we learnt many things for example we made a radio. We tried to hear the radio.
I also played a game called 'Surfswell Island', it is an Internet safety game. We made a survey of 100 people.
We were asked to ask what do they communicate with. We also made a graph of the results from the 100 people we interviewed.
We read an e-book about the Famous Five - Five On a Treasure Island. We also played a game about this book. We also had to make a chapter summary about one chapter from the book, the chapter that I summarized was chapter 9. We put our chapter summary on our blog.
We also made a reflection about e-books, which we also put on our blog. We also learnt the meaning of e-book, which is electronic book.
We learnt about blogs. We made a 'virtual pet' and put a glittery image from
'Christian Glitter.com' and put a post about ourselves. We also placed a clock and a calendar onto our blog.
I also learnt how to capture the screen and also how to make a podcast. We also read an e-comic and learnt how to save a picture as a j-peg.
Two of my favourite tasks during this unit of inquiry were making a blog and making graphs.

I demonstrated my communicator skills when I listened to the instructions on how to make a blog and asked questions. I demonstrated my 'inquirer' skills when I asked people about their favourite way to communicate.
